Fancy’s Vegetarian Sponge Cake Mix is produced using Holland technology. The mix retains the delightful flavor, lightness, and fluffiness of a traditional sponge cake, but with a significant difference—it contains no eggs. Instead, it uses natural ingredients such as wheat flour, sugar, cornstarch and more, making it ideal for those following a vegetarian.

Ingredients of Fancy’s Vegetarian Sponge Cake Mix (1kg)

Wheat flour, sugar, cornstarch, milk protein, full cream milk powder, leavening agent (INS 500ii), emulsifiers (INS 433, INS 475, INS 477, INS 472b), salt, artificial vanilla flavor, food coloring (INS 160a(i)), preservatives (INS 262(i), INS 282).

Ingredients

  • Fancy’s Vegetarian Sponge Cake Mix: 1kg
  • Water (or Fresh milk): 660g
  • Cooking oil: 80g

Instruction

  • Grease 7 round cake pans with 20cm. Preheat oven at 180ºC.
  • Put Fancy’s Vegetarian Sponge Cake Mix, water (or fresh milk) in ad mixing bowl. Mix the mixture by a planetary mixer with high speed in 5 minutes (or hand mixer in 7 minutes) until the batter raise up in volume, well combined. Stop mixing.
  • Fold the cooking oil  in the batter, stir well by hand. (Cooking oil should not be added into the batter during mixing time by machine).
  • Divide the batter evenly into each round  pans ( about 300g).
  • Bake at 180°C in 25 minutes. Leave the cakes cool before use.

Notice

  • Maximum 1/4 recipe is advised when mixing with hand mixer.
  • To enhance taste of cake, butter or butter oil can be replaced 50% of the cooking oil.
